The ingredients needed to make Chikuwa with Wasabi and Cream Cheese:
- Get 3 Chikuwa
- Take 2 cubes Cream cheese (cubed sold in foil wrappers)
- Make ready 1 Wasabi
Press both sides into sesame seeds. Place on a shallow serving plate; pour soy sauce around cheese. Cut Chikuwa vertically in half, and then cut the long pieces in half (making shorter pieces). Add Chikuwa to the batter and coat.
Instructions to make Chikuwa with Wasabi and Cream Cheese:
- Boil water in a small sauce pan. (If the chikuwa is fresh, you can skip this step.) Meanwhile, slice the chikuwa into half lengthwise. (Oops, the slices in this picture are not so good…)
- Blanch the chikuwa for about 20 seconds. The taste will disappear if you boil for too long.
- Mix two blocks of cream cheese and wasabi well. If you don’t mix it evenly, you won't know which parts of the dish are hot or not!
- The stuffing in this picture is also not the best, but don’t worry! Just eat as soon as possible and nobody will realize!
Cut Chikuwa vertically in half, and then cut the long pieces in half (making shorter pieces). Add Chikuwa to the batter and coat. Deep-fry until lightly browned and floating in the oil. Mix up your wasabi powder to a "peanut butter consistency" and spread the wasabi on top of ½ of the cream cheese Place the other half of the cream cheese on top of the wasabi. Press down lightly to make your "sandwich" blend together.

Grains can be good for overcoming a terrible mood. Barley, quinoa, millet, teff, etc are all good for helping you feel better. They help you feel full as well which can truly help to make your mood better. It’s not hard to feel low when you feel famished! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are easy for your stomach to digest. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps kick up your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, elevates your mood.
Green tea is excellent for moods. You were just anticipating to read that here, weren’t you? Green tea is loaded with an amino acid called L-theanine. Studies prove that this particular amino acid can essentially induce brain waves. This will better your brain’s concentration while also relaxing the rest of your body. You probably already knew how easy it is to get healthy when you consume green tea. Now you know that it helps you to raise your moods too!
