In contrast, the Kansai-style egg sandwich contains a thick omelette in between two slices of bread. Kansai- or Osaka-style okonomiyaki is the predominant version of the dish, found throughout most of Japan.   1. Toast 2 slices of bread in a toaster oven. Melt the butter in a frying pan, quickly beat the eggs and pour them in as well.
  2. When the egg is half-cooked, use a pair of cooking chopsticks to fold the omelette over. It doesn't have to be a perfect square, but make sure to fold it while the eggs are still fluffy!
  3. The slices of toast are ready. Spread the ◇ mayonnaise on one of the slices and spread the ☆ ingredients over the other.
  4. Sandwich the omelette in between the slices of toast. Gently press down on the sandwich with your hand to secure the toast and fillings in place.
  5. Cut the sandwiches into easy-to-eat sizes and they're ready. The omelette will be very fluffy and yummy.
  6. Add sliced cucumbers if you feel like eating the sandwich with some vegetables.
  7. Add bacon as well to make it into a very filling sandwich.
