Hey everyone, it’s Louise, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a distinctive dish, gizzard dodo. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I am going to make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Gizdodo / Dodo Gizzards are coined names for a Nigerian dish prepared with a combination of gizzards and plantains (dodo). This is one of those recipes "invented" from excesses or in order to reduce food wastage. If you've read through my older posts, you'll know that I love plantains…. a lot. So you bet I also love Dodo gizzards☺.

Gizzard dodo is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. It’s appreciated by millions every day. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Gizzard dodo is something which I have loved my entire life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook gizzard dodo using 8 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Gizzard dodo:
  1. Make ready Plantain
  2. Make ready Gizzard
  3. Prepare Tomatoes
  4. Prepare Pepper
  5. Take Onion
  6. Take Salt
  7. Make ready Maggi
  8. Take Curry

You decide which one you rather have. When the gizzard is cooked, transfer to a bowl, leave to cool then cut into bite-size cubes. Dodo with the warm, stewed gizzards. Garnish with chopped green bell peppers and diced onions.

Instructions to make Gizzard dodo:
  1. Wash and cook your gizzard with salt, maggi and curry, cover to cook, when done try the gizzard a little set aside.
  2. Peel, cut and fry the plantain with salt.
  3. Slice the tomatoes, pepper and onions in a big chucks put little oil in a pan and fry, add, salt curry and maggi stir it should not be too done. Now put then in the stick ready to eat

Dodo with the warm, stewed gizzards. Garnish with chopped green bell peppers and diced onions. Serve on its own as a small chop, starter, hor d'oeuvre; or as part of main meal with rice or any other grain of your choice. A serving of Giz-Do Gizdodo, gizzard-dodo, dodo-gizzard all refer to a very popular, fried plantain and peppered chicken gizzard combo. This simple combination actually works because of the different flavours and textures produced individually and collectively by the ingredients used in preparing it.

Your mood can be elevated by consuming peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. This is because seeds and nuts have plenty of magnesium which increases your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is a feel-good substance that tells the brain how to feel at any given time. The more serotonin in your brain, the more pleasant you’ll feel. Not only that but nuts, specifically, are a terrific protein food source.

If you would like to beat depression, you should eat some cold water fish. Herring, trout, tuna, wild salmon, and mackerel are all high in omega-3 fatty acids and DHA. DHA and omega-3s are two things that raise the quality and the function of your brain’s grey matter. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can greatly boost your mood.

It’s not difficult to overcome your bad mood when you eat grains. Teff, barley, millet, quinoa, etc are all wonderful for helping you be in a happier state of mind. These foods can help you feel full for longer as well, which can help your mood too. Feeling famished can be a real downer! These grains can improve your mood since it’s easy for your body to digest them. You digest these grains faster than other foods which can help increase your blood sugar levels, which, in turn, helps make you feel more pleasant, mood wise.

Green tea is actually excellent for your mood. You were just expecting to read that, weren’t you? Green tea is found to be chock-full of an amino acid referred to as L-theanine. Studies have discovered that this amino acid essentially induces brain waves. This will improve your brain’s concentration while also loosening up the rest of your body. You were already aware that green tea could help you become healthier. Now you are aware that green tea helps you to raise your moods also!
